Summer 2009
REELMAGIC 2009
Reelmagic, the IFI’s practical filmmaking course for children and young people, returned this summer with an exciting script to screen programme. Aimed at younger filmmakers, Reelmagic is a fun, active course which encourages participants to develop practical filmmaking skills and take on different roles behind and in front of the camera.
Working with professional filmmaker, Baz Al-Rawi, and facilitator, Dee Quinlan, participants created a short film from start to finish. Young filmmakers between the ages of 9 and 14 years old participated and made two excellent films, Nerd Showdown (9-11 yrs) and Troubled Visions (12-14 yrs). Click here to see photographs from the courses and the excellent films they produced.
