Stranger Than Fiction is the only annual festival dedicated to celebrating the best of factual film and television.

The festival brings the best of international documentary to Irish audiences, showcases contemporary Irish work, as well as retrospectives of the work of past masters. Stranger Than Fiction is both a public film festival and an industry conference. Organised by Screen Producers Ireland, the Festival Market is a vital element of Stranger Than Fiction, providing opportunities for Irish producers to meet with commissioning editors from a number of key European broadcasters. It is hoped that the event will proved productive for all parties and increase the access for Irish producers to the European and world markets.

The Stranger Than Fiction Documentary Festival is run by the Irish Film Institute of Ireland which is the national body for film culture in Ireland.
Tickets to all screenings and events are available from the IFI Box Office. Standard ticket prices apply.

There is a special package price of 5 films for €35 and 10 films for €55. Those wishing to avail of this discount must specify ALL of their choices at the time of booking.
