Now well established as an annual celebration of recent Spanish cinema, ¡Viva! is a UK-Irish touring programme organised by Linda Pariser of Cornerhouse in Manchester and drawing its films from that city’s larger Spanish festival. There are plans to expand the event to embrace Latin American cinema in the future, and already this year’s selection includes a film from Argentina. (Coincidentally, the IFI is also hosting a Mexican Film Week in this programme.)
